South African artist DJ Zinhle has spoken out following a fresh wave of social media rumours accusing her husband, Mörda, aka Murdah Bongz, of infidelity.
The producer, formerly part of the acclaimed duo Black Motion, has become the subject of intense online scrutiny after allegations emerged claiming he is romantically involved with a 22-year-old Johannesburg club worker named Kimberly.
The claims, which have spread rapidly across social media platforms, ignited heated debate among fans, with some expressing support for DJ Zinhle while others speculate about the state of her marriage.
DJ Zinhle’s Response
Amid mounting online speculation, DJ Zinhle appeared to take a reflective approach. In a video shared on her social media, she said she had decided not to engage with the allegations publicly. Which sounds contradictory, considering that this particular video was shared on a ‘publicly’ accessible platform.
“Bestie, let me tell you, it is super hard … I decided I’m going to let this thing go. I’m not going to respond to this,” she said.
“I’m just going to let it go, but letting it go is so hard, cos it’s so easy to get angry and want to react. But for me, most times I would actually love to let things go. I don’t want to fight. I don’t want to have conflict. I don’t want to respond to anyone online. I don’t want to explain myself. I just want an easy life.”
Her comments were widely praised by fans who commended her for showing restraint in the face of what has become one of the week’s most talked-about celebrity controversies in South Africa.
The controversy was ignited by well-known gossip blogger Musa Khawula, who alleged that Mörda was having affairs with students from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). He likened the situation to a previous scandal involving actress Linda Mtoba’s former husband, Steven Meyer, who was accused of infidelity with students from the same institution.

DJ Zinhle, born Zinhle Jiyane, is one of South Africa’s most successful DJs and entrepreneurs. Through her brand Era by DJ Zinhle, she has become a symbol of resilience in the entertainment industry.
Yet her private life has long attracted public attention — particularly her high-profile relationship with the late rapper AKA, with whom she shares a daughter, Kairo Forbes.
