Betterbrands Colour Run
Harare is set to burst into colour this festive season as the Betterbrands Grand Colour Run – Family Fun Day, staged in partnership with Selekta Base, returns on Saturday, 13 December.
The organisers promise a vibrant mix of fitness, music and family entertainment, with thousands expected to take part.
Running from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, the high-energy event is designed to bring together families, fitness enthusiasts and fun seekers for a day marked by colour throws, live performances and community spirit.
Entertainment Line-Up Promises High Energy

This year’s edition features an impressive roster of local talent. Killa T, Tammy Moyo and King 98 lead the musical line-up, supported by a dynamic team of DJs who will keep the atmosphere festive throughout the day.
Beyond music, attendees can look forward to Zumba sessions by Zorro and a Rhumba fitness performance led by Kuda the Choreographer, both expected to draw large, energetic groups as participants move, dance and enjoy the rhythm of the holiday season.
Pre-Event Preparations Across the City
Ahead of the big day, T-shirt distribution for registered participants begins on Saturday.
A dedicated Grand Colour Run tent will be stationed at several strategic points across Harare, including Joina City, Highland Park, Sam Levy’s Village, Avondale and Greenfields.
Organisers say volunteers will be present at each location to assist with collections and address participant queries, ensuring a smooth lead-up to the event.
Wellness, Unity and Family Fun at the Centre
Event organisers note that this year’s programme aims to champion wellness, unity, and wholesome entertainment for families as Harare prepares for the festive season.
With splashes of colour, lively fitness activities and music at its core, the Grand Colour Run is expected to offer an unforgettable experience for attendees of all ages.
Why Colour Runs and Fitness Festivals Are Growing in Popularity in Harare

Events like the Betterbrands Grand Colour Run have increasingly become a fixture on Harare’s social calendar.
Over the past few years, the capital has witnessed a surge in outdoor lifestyle and fitness-focused festivals, reflecting a shift toward healthier, family-oriented recreation.
Urban communities, particularly young professionals and families, are seeking activities that combine wellness with entertainment.
Colour runs, which merge exercise with music and playful interaction, have proven especially appealing.
The rise of new shopping malls, lifestyle centres and open public spaces has also created fresh platforms for such gatherings.
Moreover, the post-pandemic period has seen many residents prioritising outdoor experiences that promote togetherness and mental well-being.
