After years of speculation, Rockstar Games has finally revealed the pricing, editions and pre-order bonuses for Grand Theft Auto VI, giving fans their clearest picture yet of what they will receive when the game launches later this year.
GTA 6 pre-orders are now live worldwide ahead of the game’s scheduled release on 19 November 2026, marking one of the biggest moments in gaming history.
More than a decade after the launch of Grand Theft Auto V, players can now choose between two versions of the game, each offering different benefits and exclusive content.
The announcement has also answered several key questions surrounding pricing, physical copies, pre-order rewards and platform availability.
How Much Does GTA 6 Cost?

Rockstar has confirmed two editions of GTA 6.
The Standard Edition is priced at US$79.99, while the premium Ultimate Edition costs US$99.99. The pricing places GTA 6 among the most expensive mainstream video game releases to date and reflects a broader trend of rising development costs across the gaming industry.
The announcement ends months of rumours suggesting the game could cost more than US$100 or even reach US$150 in some territories.
GTA 6 Editions Explained

Unlike previous Rockstar releases such as Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 6 launches with only two editions.
GTA 6 Standard Edition
The Standard Edition includes:
- Full GTA 6 base game
- Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order bonus
- One month of GTA+ for digital pre-orders
- Available in both digital and physical formats
The Standard Edition is aimed at players who simply want access to the core GTA 6 experience without additional cosmetic or gameplay extras.
GTA 6 Ultimate Edition

The Ultimate Edition includes everything in the Standard Edition plus:
- Exclusive premium vehicles
- Exclusive weapons
- Additional clothing and character customisation items
- Exclusive tattoos
- Special in-game businesses and shops
- Unique vehicle customisation options
- Additional content linked to protagonists Jason and Lucia
Rockstar says the Ultimate Edition is designed for players who want deeper customisation options and exclusive items from day one.
Among the exclusive vehicles included are the ’95 Grotti Cheetah, the Shitzu Squalo and the ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy. Ultimate Edition owners will also gain access to exclusive locations such as Rideout Customs, Sara’s Unisex Salon, Stock 305 and Electric Fang Tattoo.
What Is the Vintage Vice City Pack?

Perhaps the most significant pre-order bonus is the Vintage Vice City Pack.
Available to players who pre-order either edition before launch, the bundle is inspired by the classic Grand Theft Auto: Vice City era and includes a collection of nostalgic items designed to celebrate the franchise’s return to the famous city.
The package includes:
- A 1955 Vapid Stanier vehicle
- Vice City-inspired outfits for Jason and Lucia
- Exclusive weapon skins
- A personal garage near Ocean Beach
- Storage facilities and weapon locker access
- Retro hairstyles and cosmetic items
The bonus is available regardless of whether players purchase the Standard or Ultimate Edition.
Digital Buyers Get an Extra Perk

Players who pre-order digitally receive an additional incentive.
Rockstar is offering one month of GTA+, its premium subscription service, free of charge with digital pre-orders. The subscription can be redeemed immediately and provides access to benefits in the current GTA Online ecosystem.
This offer is not available with physical boxed copies.
No Disc Inside Physical Copies
One of the biggest surprises in Rockstar’s announcement concerns physical editions.
Although boxed versions of GTA 6 will be available in stores, they will not contain a game disc. Instead, buyers will receive a digital download code inside the package. Rockstar says the decision reflects the enormous size of the game and the technical requirements of modern consoles.
The move is likely to divide opinion among collectors, many of whom still prefer physical media. However, it follows a growing trend within the industry as game file sizes continue to increase.
When Will Physical Copies Ship?
Rockstar has confirmed that physical boxed copies will begin shipping from 12 November 2026, one week before launch.
This will allow players to redeem their codes and pre-load the game ahead of release day.
Digital customers will also gain access to pre-loading from the same date.
The aim is to ensure players can begin playing immediately when GTA 6 unlocks on 19 November.
Which Consoles Will GTA 6 Be Available On?

At launch, GTA 6 will only be available on:
- PlayStation 5
- PlayStation 5 Pro
- Xbox Series X
- Xbox Series S
There is currently no version planned for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, and Rockstar has not yet announced a release date for PC players.
Many industry analysts expect a PC version to arrive later, following Rockstar’s traditional release strategy, although the company has not confirmed any timetable.
Is There a Collector’s Edition?
Despite widespread speculation, Rockstar has not announced a Collector’s Edition.
For now, only the Standard and Ultimate editions are available.
This marks a departure from previous Rockstar releases, which often included physical collectables, steelbooks, maps and other premium merchandise.
While a Collector’s Edition could still emerge closer to launch, Rockstar has not indicated that one is currently planned.
Why GTA 6 Is Already Making History

Even before release, GTA 6 is shaping up to become one of the most significant entertainment launches ever.
The game’s first trailers have accumulated hundreds of millions of views online, while industry analysts predict record-breaking sales during its opening week.
Several publishers have reportedly adjusted their release schedules to avoid competing directly with Rockstar’s latest blockbuster.
For fans, the opening of pre-orders signals that the countdown has truly begun.
After 13 years of waiting since Grand Theft Auto V first arrived, players can finally secure their copy of what may become the biggest video game launch of the decade.
