Tamy and Jah Prayzah drop new music
A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog (Zimbabwean female musicians…crybabies or victims of circumstances?) where I was saying that there are numerous female artistes that deserve more credit that what they get. We are simply sleeping on their talent.
Those who read that post can confirm I highlighted that Tamy Moyo should be mentioned among the biggest artistes in Zimbabwe.
Today she released visuals for a new song Kuteera which features one of the biggest names in the game at the moment, Jah Prayzah.
The reason why I tuned in for the premiere, along with hundreds of other viewers, is simply because I know that the songbird rarely disappoints.
Tamy has hit a homerun on this one. This new tune is a bucketful of gold. Pure gold.
From the word go, the duet on the intro just sounds perfect and got me hooked just a few seconds into the tune.
The first verse hits the right way with Tamy’s voice, which borders on melodic and bold, packing a solid punch as she expresses her emotions.
The chorus is way too nice as JP dives in with his trademark vocals which have made him a darling among many music lovers. The back and forth exchanges between the two artistes really did the trick on the hook.
I can safely say that JP did justice to the feature. The Jerusarema hit maker gave the track an urge not just because of his popularity, but because he went in with the right energy.
On the visual side, the production ticks the right boxes from the quality to the setting, giving us a glimpse at some iconic features of the scenic Victoria Falls.
Check it out and tell us what you think.
