The much-awaited 2023 Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo is set to take place from October 12 to 14 in Bulawayo.
This yearly event brings together important figures and stakeholders in the global tourism industry, offering a platform for networking, teamwork, and presenting the finest of Zimbabwe’s abundant tourism potential.

The event is organized by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism, and Hospitality Industry.
ZTA’s CEO, Ms. Winnie Muchanyuka, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming event, stating, “The 2023 Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo will shine a spotlight on tourism and put the entire travel and tourism industry at center stage. We’re eager to present the splendor, heritage, and warmth of our country and to promote Zimbabwe as an irresistible destination for travelers seeking genuine African tourism experiences.”
Muchanyuka pointed out that attendees can anticipate an assortment of engaging and interactive activities throughout the expo. These include educational workshops for knowledge sharing, networking sessions to foster collaboration among industry experts, and award ceremonies to honor remarkable contributions in the tourism sector.
“A stimulating range of activities awaits participants. These encompass business-to-business meetings for industry insiders and buyers. A forum dedicated to tourism investment will be held, spotlighting opportunities for potential investors in the tourism sector. The aviation sector will also gather to discuss various matters affecting aviation. An informational session will guide aspiring tourism leaders in their careers. Buyers will engage in the usual on-site visits to different locations across the country to gain insight into our remarkable tourist attractions.”
