Olympus Lounge | Harare nightlife will never be the same

This coming Thursday, a new star is born on the Harare club scene as Olympus Lounge opens its doors to the public.

The nightspot which is located at the NetOne building, where Connect used to be, promises to bring one of the most luxurious experiences to the capital.

In Greek mythology, Mount Olympus was significant as a zone of great power, the meeting place of heaven and earth.

As the name of the club suggests, this particular spot is set to be the perfect meeting place for all the movers and shakers in the capital.

We had the opportunity to check out the work the owners have been putting in to make sure the place brings out that ‘Greek’ ambience and what we can say is that the place is just beautiful.

From the artwork to the expensive furniture, one can only imagine what the vibe will be like when the music and alcohol starts flowing. For all those individuals who live for the cameras, this will be the place to be.

While the upstairs lounge has been given a mesmeric touch up, the downstairs area has also been given a new look.

This is not just your regular paintjob, but rather a significant facelift where you could easily get lost if you are thinking this is the ‘old’ Club Connect.

They also upped their game when it comes to lighting, with the lounge upstairs getting its own laid back vibe, while the downstairs arena is giving that ‘party animal’ energy.

This joint will certainly be a welcome development as nightlife in the capital’s CBD had slowed down since the closure of Club Connect.

Of late, those looking for night club action have been forced to search in the outskirts, with Borrowdale, Belgravia, Chisipiti and Braeside becoming prominent directions.

Olympus Lounge will offer a more central party arena which can easily be accessed by anyone in Harare.

The opening party on Thursday is one not to be missed, with almost every top DJ in Harare set to grace the event.

Some of the entertainers on the night will include Madeherbelieve, Ace Forever, Langton B, Rax, MC Tatts and Fujee to name just a few.
