Zim Hip Hop Awards 2022 winners were announced on December 8 at a ceremony held at the 7 Arts Theatre in Harare.
As expected, it was Holy Ten and Voltz JT who were the dominant figures on the night.
These two have arguably been the best rappers in the country this year.
Voltz JT walked away with three awards, Best Album, Best Hip Hop Hustle and Best Collaboration.
On the other hand, Holy Ten who scooped two trophies in the Best Male and People’s Choice categories.
Its no surprise that Leo Maggoz managed to bag two Zim Hip Hop Awards considering his prominant his hit Fire Emoji has been.
The likes of RayKaz, Saintfloew, Young Gemini, Killemol and Jax on the Beat went home smiling ass they were also rewarded on the day.
While there are some people who might have their opinions on who should have or shouldn’t have won, the winners’ list is decent.

About the Zim Hip Hop Awards
Zim Hip Hop Awards or Zimbabwe Hip Hop Awards (ZHHA) is an annual awards event that recognises outstanding hip hop artists in the country.
Diaspora hip hop artists are also considered. The ceremony is held in December each year.
Zimbabwe Hip Hop Awards started in December 2011 with the first edition held at 7 Arts Theater in Harare.
It was the first awards ceremony for hip hop artists in Zimbabwe.
For nomination, the artist’s music has to be released on radio or public media platforms from the previous cycle of November which runs to October in that current year.
An artist must provide credible work and supporting articles as references to show the actual release of content. The ZHHA panel will select nominees and the list of nominees is publicised in the media a month before the event.
