Zim Hip Hop Awards 2022 nominees are out with the likes of Holy Ten, Voltz Jt, Leo Magozz and more making the cut.
The ceremony will be held on December 8 at the 7 Arts Theatre in Harare.
It is no surprise that Holy Ten and Voltz JT top the nominations list with seven nods each. These two rappers have been on top of their game sparking debate as to who is better.
Saintfloew is also another artiste who had a great run this year. He was nominated six times.
R.Peels and Ti Gonzi were both nominated five times while Suhn and Leo Magozz and are up for four awards.
Organisers have also introduced a new category, I am Hip-hop honorary award. This award recognizes creatives who promote and support local Hip Hop through their different art forms.

Standard tickets are going for $10 with early bird VIP tickets costing $20.

Controversy
Zim Hip Hop Awards always have a cloud of controversy over them and this one is no different. Some artistes including Kikky Badass have highlighted they will boycott the event for various reasons.
Kikky took to social media platforms to highlight that she does not want to be part of the program after fellow rapper Crooger was snubbed.
It seems like criticizing arwads ceremonies has become the norm on the local entertainment scene.
Zim Hip Hop Awards or Zimbabwe Hip Hop Awards ( ZHHA) is an annual awards event. The event was created to recognise outstanding Zimbabwean hip hop artists based in the country and those in the diaspora as well.
