Titled “Yes I Have HIV Zimbabwe,” this remarkable show debuted on Sunday, June 4, exclusively on DStv’s Honey Africa channel.
Liz Dziva, the publicity and public relations manager of MultiChoice Zimbabwe emphasized the series’ potential to remind society of the immense support and encouragement required by individuals living with HIV.

The host of this impactful series is the remarkable Phyllis Mavushe, who was born with HIV and possesses an unwavering determination to make a positive difference within her community.
Mavushe underwent training facilitated by Africaid Zvandiri in Zimbabwe, where she acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to become a Community Adolescent Treatment Supporter.
Driven by her aspiration to serve as a role model for her peers, Phyllis Mavushe has exhibited an exceptional passion for ensuring timely HIV testing and initiation of ART programs among her fellow young individuals.
Additionally, she has dedicated herself to connecting them with vital community services.
“Phyllis is the epitome of a host who enables individuals to disclose their HIV-positive status to their loved ones for the first time. She personally engages with each guest, delving into their unique journeys and exploring the circumstances surrounding their contraction of the virus. Subsequently, Phyllis invites an expert to aid families in confronting the truth and discovering ways to embrace a positive life while living with this condition,” said Dziva.
“Yes I Have HIV Zimbabwe” premiered on Honey Africa at 7:30 PM, captivating audiences with its thought-provoking episodes which will air every Sunday.
