World Cup 2022 schedule: Match dates, times, group stages and finals
The Qatar 2022 World Cup kicks off on Sunday, with the opening game seeing the hosts take on Ecuador.
England, who flew to Qatar on Tuesday, will play in the second game of the tournament the following day against Iran in Group B. The Three Lions will also come up against USA and Wales in the group stage
Gareth Southgate’s team are going through their paces in training, with sessions moved to the morning in order to deal with the soaring temperatures.
All 32 World Cup teams have now submitted their squads, with England finalising theirs last week. James Maddison is fit, but sat out Thursday’s training session as staff look to manage their workload.
