Winky D Nominated for AFRIMMA 2023
Winky D‘s star continues to shine bright on the international scene as he is up for another continental accolade.
The Gaffa President is in the running for the Best Male Southern Africa title at the 2023 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).
He is competing against other famous singers from South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, and Zambia.
South Africa has the most nominees with five, while the others have one each.
Some of the other singers in the running are the late Costa Titch and AKA, Sjava, DJ Maphorisa, and Musa Keys from South Africa.
There are also singers like DJ Tarico from Mozambique, Macky2 from Zambia, and Han C from Botswana.
The AFRIMMA Awards will take place on the 17th of September at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas.
But it’s not just Winky D who’s in the spotlight. Other talented artists from Zimbabwe are also nominated.
Singers Tamy Moyo and Sha Sha are nominated for the Best Female Southern Africa award. Jake Zaral is up for Best Video Director, and Lex and Answer are nominated in the Best African DJ USA category.
