Winky D album launch HICC
The Harare International Conference Centre is set to explode on December 31 as Winky D launches his new album Eureka Eureka.
The artiste has managed to fill up this iconic venue a couple of times already so this is familiar territory.
Biggest New Year’s crossover party
The album launch without a doubt will be the biggest New Year’s crossover party in the capital.
It has been a while since Winky D dropped new music and which makes this new project one of the most anticipated albums of the year.
Vigilance Music has partnered with Gateway Stream for the event.
Supporting artistes
Some of the local acts which are set to perform at the album launch include Killer T, Enzo Ishall, Tocky Vibes, Holy Ten, Nutty O and Saintfloew to name a few.
This is a strong lineup which fuses Zim dancehall and hip hop, which are two of the most prominent urban genres in the country at the moment.
The album
Winky D is notorious for keeping his cards close to his chest and as it stands, very little is known about the contents of this album.
It has been highlighted that it explores issues such as intolerance and unity.
The artiste has been known to comment on various social issues in his music and tomorrow his fans will get to find out what it is he is talking about this time around.
Master KG endorses Winky D
South African superstar Master KG has already endorsed the album launch, showering Winky D with praises.
The two artistes shared the stage in Bulawayo recently alongside DJ Tira and the Jerusalema hitmaker was impressed by the Ninja President’s performance.
“What Winky D did in Bulawayo last night is beyond words! A true GOAT, the city is grateful,” said Master KG via Twitter.
He also went on to respond to Winky D’s Tweet about the album launch, “After what I saw on Sunday when I have time, I would attend all your shows!! You are a king brother!!!”
Tickets for the Winky D album launch
Early bird tickets which were selling for US$15 for general entry and US$30 for VIP sold out last week.
At the moment standard tickets are going for US$20 while VIP tickets are available for US$40.
There is also another special which has an entry ticket and accommodation at the Rainbow Towers hotel and New Ambassador Hotel.
Single occupancy accommodation at the Rainbow Hotel costs $65 and includes one standard ticket for the show. If you would like a VIP ticket, the price is $80. Double occupancy accommodation is $80 with two standard tickets or $110 with two VIP tickets.
