Vic Falls Carnival 2023 Lineup | Ckay, Musa Keys, Jah Prayzah, Black Motion and More
This year’s edition of the Vic Falls Carnival is set to be the biggest ever held if the lineup and setup is anything to go by.
The event will be held from the 28th to the 30th of April in the resort town of Victoria Falls with the main stage being at the Elephant Hills Resort.
While the fete has always been held on the Zimbabwean side, this time around it will be spilling to Zambia as well with some events taking place at the Radisson Blu Mosi-Oa-Tunya, Livingstone Resort.

The carnival has been known to put together exceptional acts who always come through and deliver exceptional performances.
Over the years, the event has been graced by some of the continent’s top artists, but in terms of numbers, nothing compares to this particular edition.
This year’s lineup is stacked with some of the biggest names not only in the region but globally as well.
With the likes of CKay, Musa Keys, Jah Prazah, Oskido, Mafikizolo, Micasa, Black Motion, Enzo Ishall, Toss, Top Cheri, Khoisan and Mi Casa to name a few set to perform, this is bound to be one explosive festival.
CKay and the Afrobeat Vibes
This artist needs no introduction as he is one of the biggest voices in the world right now.
CKay has been a trendsetter for while with most of his hits attracting millions of views on streaming platforms and being a constant on social media.
His hit song “Love Nwantiti” is among some of the most trending songs on Tik Tok and Instagram, with the track spawning numerous remixes from various parts of the world. It is actually the most Shazamed song in the world.
Unlike some artists who drop one hit and disappear, CKay has proven that he is here to stay as he continues releasing captivating music.
His catalogue is packed with hits including “Felony”, “Emiliana”, “By Now”, “Cocoro”, “Come Close”, “You”, “Isabella” and “Lose You” among others.
On stage, he has been known to put on a show and those going to the carnival should expect no less.
His inclusion on the lineup will be a welcome development for an event that usually depends on regional acts. Kudos to the organisers on this one.
The Groove Masters from Down South
South Africa takes the lead when it comes to music production in the region and those who want to argue otherwise are welcome to do so.
The country has produced top artists in various genres inducing house, Afro-pop and hip hop.
They have set the world ablaze with their currently trending Amapiano sound and it comes as no surprise that a huge chunk of artists performing at the carnival are coming from SA.
These entertainers were not randomly picked, with organisers making sure that they rope in the best in their various genres.
With superstars such as Musa Keys, Oskido, Mi Casa, Toss, Mdoovah, 9umba, Mafikizolo and Black Motion, one will need a reliable pair of dancing shoes. Its going to be a carnival to remember.
This will not be the first time that these artists have performed in the country and those who have been to their shows know that they can deliver.
The Local Contingent
Last year’s carnival was proof that Zimbabwean artists are capable of captivating international audiences with the likes of Takura, Gemma and Nutty O being among the top performers at the event.
This time around they have brought in Jah Prayzah, Enzo Ishall, Mokoomba, Anita Jaxon, Andre The Vocalist, Tashinga and numerous other local artists.
Jah Prayzah has been one of the biggest artists in the country for years and it is a surprise that it has taken this long for him to grace the carnival stage.
The hit maker is well known for his energetic and captivating performances which is what fans should expect when he takes to the stage in Vic Falls.
Meanwhile, the internationally acclaimed Mokoomba will be right at home in the resort town.
The group is regarded as one of the best Afropop outfits on the world, having been inducted in the Afropop Worldwide Hall of Fame alongside the likes of Youssou N’Dour, Oumou Sangaré, Angelique Kidjo, Oliver Mtukudzi, and Thomas Mapfumo.
Tashinga is also another entertainer to look out for, having made his carnival debut last year. The DJ has proven that he can compete among the best in the business and will be looking to continue on that path an this year’s edition.
Regional Powerhouses
Southern Africa is blessed artistically, with various countries in the region producing unique sounds that are captivating.
The Vic Falls Carnival has for years been the biggest platform where talented artists in the territory are given the platform to shine.
In that same vein, they have also brought in entertainers from Zambia, Botswana and Namibia to roundup the diverse lineup.
Botswana band Khoisan brought the house down when they performed last year and many fans will be thrilled to know that they are coming back again for this edition. Other regional acts to look out for include Han-C and Top Cheri.
