Unplugged unveils Mas Musiq as surprise artiste
Greendale Sports Club is the place to be this Saturday with the venue playing host to the final Unplugged event of the year.
As promised, organisers have upped the stakes by adding one of South Africa’s finest, Mas Musiq, to the lineup.
Other artistes that are performing include Enzo Ishall, Gemma Griffiths, Voltz JT and Kyla Blac among others.
Earlier on this week, they announced that there was going to be a surprise act from South of the Limpopo.
The superstar was unveiled yesterday, much to the delight of music fans.
Mas Musiq is one the biggest producer/DJs in the region who has been among the torchbearers of the Amapiano movement.
In an interview with 263Culture event organiser Ellinah Chipumha said they were thrilled to have such a huge artiste performing at Unplugged.
“Mas Musiq is a hugely popular South African DJ. He is Maphorisa and Kabza’s protégé and we are excited to have him join our lineup,” said Chipumha.
“December is all about having a good time and we are sure he will deliver those vibes.
“We have had positive responses and folks are looking forward to the entire lineup.”
Since making his big break in 2019, Mas Musiq has not looked back, leaving his mark on a string of major hits that have shaken the music industry.
He has worked with the likes of DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, Aymos, Sha Sha, Nia Pearl, Daliwonga and Young Stunna to name a few.
Mas Musiq’s genius can be seen on many hit songs including Zaka, Bambelela, Ub’ukhona, Mthande, Nguwe, Phesheya, Shonamalanga and Sengizwileto to name a few.
His catalogue is not only vast; it is also full of bangers.
The artiste is also known to bring out the heat when he is behind the decks so those who will be attending the gig need to brace for an electric set.
This particular Unplugged lineup is balanced as it caters for music fans of various genres.
There is dancehall, hip hop, R’n’B, pop and Amapiano representation.
