The Good Wine Experience Set For October
The Good Wine Experience (TGWE) is an event that takes place once every year in October at specially
curated venues and locations.

The exquisite fete brings together wine enthusiasts, top chefs and seasoned sommeliers, to create one memorable affair.

This year’s edition is set to take place on October 14 at Nesbit Castle and Matopos in Bulawayo.

The purpose of the event is to elevate Zimbabwe’s culinary landscape by turning the industry’s gaze towards its homegrown and locally sourced ingredients.

It offers an opportunity to exchange ingredient options with food and wine enthusiasts so as to create different techniques for cooking in Zimbabwe.

“We want tourists to know that there is more to our food culture and that traditional food can be sophisticated,” said TGWE’s director Mandipa Masuka.

“The event offers a chance for restaurant owners, lodge owners, and chefs, to try out ingredients from different regions in Zimbabwe.”

The Good Wine Experience offers attendees the opportunity to learn, one on one, about pairing wines with a Zimbabwean pallet.

“We aim to explore and create a food industry, not to be forgotten.”

With a backdrop of reputable local wine brands, this annual affair redefines sophistication while preserving the essence of Zimbabwe’s rich culinary heritage.
