The CookOut makes epic comeback

Today I woke up with a mild hangover and I am definitely up for more drinks.

The only problem is that with this lockdown, plans are very limited and all I can do is go to the shops, grab a few beers and come back home.

On a Sunday like this last year, I would be busy texting the squad to find out who still has it in them to go on another drinking rampage, with the destination being The CookOut.

We haven’t had such in a long time, with the last event being held back in January.

A few weeks ago, The CookOut founder, Prayersoul gave me a hint that they were planning something huge for November.

He then later on gave me the details of what they were planning but unfortunately I couldn’t publish anything until they had sorted out a few things.

Earlier this morning, I woke up to a call informing me that the event is now a go and I am sure some of you have already seen the poster doing the rounds.

The CookOut Weekend which will be held at the Troutbeck Resort in Nyanga from the 20th to the 22nd of November promises to be an epic event.

I have been to so many editions which were usually held on the last Sunday of every month and I have enjoyed almost every single one of them.

Now I am trying to imagine having all this fun for an entire weekend in a scenic and serene environment.

This is will definitely be a CookOut on steroids.

“We are calling this new concept The CoookOut Weekend and it’s going to take place in Nyanga by the Troutbeck Resort,” said Prayersoul.

“We will be announcing the payment details this coming week and we are just finalizing a few things in the regard. We are engaging an insurance broker so that people feel safe with their payments with regards to things like cancellations among other things.

“We are also trying to secure transport packages for those who do not want to drive to the event so we will be working with a travel agency that will sell some of the tickets.”

While more announcements are going to be made in the run-up to the event, from what I have been told so far, this is one event I wouldn’t miss for anything.

While we are used to this gig starting at noon and finishing at 10pm, for this one, your energy batteries need to be fully charged because it will be an all-nighter.

Besides the main CookOut event which takes place on the Saturday into the Sunday, there are going to be many activities to partake in including bonfire sundowners, outdoor movies, boat rides and quad biking to mention just a few (these are yet to be announced, but I got the info from a source close to the developments).

The most important thing to take note of is that there are going to be limited tickets with 100 being the number being thrown around.

I would advise you to grab yours as soon as they go on sale because I have a feeling they will sell-out in a blink.
