Zimbabwean alternative soul singer Sylent Nqo has announced a nationwide tour that will see him take his live band to audiences across the country, as part of what he describes as a larger journey towards a global stage.
The tour, which features his band The Noisemakers, comes after a breakout 2025 that firmly established him as one of Zimbabwe’s most compelling live performers, blending soul, rock, Afro-influences and poetic songwriting.
A homecoming tour with a global vision
In an interview with 263Culture, Sylent Nqo said the national tour has been long in the making, driven by a desire to reconnect with local audiences after years of focusing on international performances.
“I’ve enjoyed international tours, and I look forward to more, but there’s nothing like playing at home for my own people,” he said.
The Zimbabwe leg of the tour will kick off in Harare, before moving to Bulawayo, Mutare, Masvingo and Chinhoyi, with a final show returning to Harare.
The closing concert is expected to bring together all the artists involved in the tour.
The shows are also being positioned as a build-up to a wider world tour, which will see Sylent Nqo perform in different cities abroad while continuing his commitment to sharing stages with local talent wherever he goes.
Sharing the spotlight with local talent
A key feature of the tour is collaboration. Sylent Nqo says he is intentionally creating space for other Zimbabwean artists to perform alongside him, particularly musicians from the cities he will be visiting.
So far, two artists have been confirmed: Mary Anibal and Vuyo Brown, both of whom will join selected shows in Harare and Bulawayo.
More names are expected to be added, with fans being invited to suggest who they would like to see on stage.
“I’m also letting the fans decide who they want to see,” he said, pointing to an interactive approach that reflects his growing connection with audiences.

The tour follows what many see as a defining year for Sylent Nqo. In 2025, he enjoyed increased airplay, stronger streaming numbers and a noticeable rise in live bookings, both locally and internationally.
His performances were widely praised for their emotional depth and musicianship, with The Noisemakers becoming an integral part of his sound.
The band’s tight arrangements and raw live energy helped distinguish Sylent Nqo from many of his contemporaries in a crowded alternative music space.

“Definitely more music, collaborations and a lot of live performances,” he said. “I’m bringing the music back to the people.”

“Lots of music and visuals,” he added, hinting at an active creative period that could further elevate his profile ahead of the planned world tour.
