Shoko Festival 2023 Dates and Program

Music Galore at Shoko Festival 2023

The Voice2Rep Project, a collaboration between Magamba Network and Accountability Lab Zimbabwe, has played a crucial role in nurturing these talents.
The festival will kick off with the opening Mash Up & Voice2Rep night, which will merge with the Women’s Cypher.
This unique performance will feature Zimbabwe’s most prominent and emerging female rappers and performers, providing a platform for their talent.
Shoko Comedy Roast
On September 29th, the much-loved Shoko Comedy Roast will take place, featuring stand-up comedians and a humorous roast of a public personality.
Last year’s edition was a tremendous success, with the REPS Theatre selling out, and this year promises even more laughter and entertainment.
Peace In the Hood Concert
Concluding the festival on September 30th is the Peace In the Hood Concert. This event will be a celebration of unity and harmony through music, bringing together artists who will captivate the audience with their performances.
Chitungwiza will host an array of musical performances from various genres including Zim hip hop and Zim dancehall.
Hub Unconference
The annual Hub Unconference will take place on September 28th and 29th. This conference explores the latest trends in civic tech, journalism, and digital media, not only in Zimbabwe but also within the region and around the world.
