Selekta Base Changing Lives One Donation at a Time
Event planner and promoter Selekta Base is well known for creating captivating entertainment concepts.
The entrepreneur is also big when it comes to giving back to the community, having hosted numerous charity events over the years.
Selekta, real name Arnold Chingwerewe, recently recently handed over donations which included food hampers to some underprivileged residents in Harare’s Sunningdale suburb.
He was accompanied by several big players on the local car community including Boss Ice, Jarmaine, Team BMW, Team Subaru, Sixstar Motorspo and more.
This is just the beginning as more donations are set to be handed out to those in need in various homes around the capital.
Among the beneficiaries will be TOSE Respite Care Center which is going to receive clothes and blankets.
This comes months after the Selekta Base Worldwide – Blowout festival where the promoter committed to channel proceeds from the event to charity.
The Boxing Day charity event brought together people from various walks of life who listened to the call to give towards this noble cause.
“While we are doing these events and trying to entertain our fans, we are supposed to also think about those who cannot afford which is why we also come up with these charity events to help the less privileged.
“Our special thanks goes to car spinners who made this charity initiative possible by participating in the car spinning event,” said Selekta Base.
Selekta Base has grown to become one of the biggest personalities on the local entertainment industry.
His impressive portfolio includes managing Zimbabwe’s largest annual car festival, the Blowout Fest, and spearheading the success of diverse events like the Goldrush, the country’s premier farming promotion.
He is basically second to none when it comes to promoting the country’s car culture, being involved in almost ever motor sport event in the country.
