Selekta Base BlowOut Festival Is The Biggest Event This Weekend
The weekend is upon us and with schools opening next week, many families will be looking to make the most of it before the students up and leave.
While there is so much to do in Harare, the Selekta Base Blowout Festival being held at the Borrowdale Racecourse this Sunday is definitely the biggest event this weekend.
Being a family friendly event, this presents the perfect opportunity for parents, bothers, siters and friends to say their goodbyes in style.
With the recently held edition being a major success, this one is set to even be bigger as the organisers pulling all the stops to make it a memorable event.

The hype around Sunday’s BlowOut Festival has been huge with orgnisers highlighting that they have been overwhelmed with enquiries.
“We recently held another event but many of our fans who failed to come through asked us to do another one before schools open and that is why we decided to organise another one,” said Selekta Base.
“Since we announced the dates, we have been overwhelmed by equerries with some trying to find out if the event is indeed happening while others have been asking about advance tickets.”
He added that they had roped in spinners from a couple of countries in the region so as to add weight to the festival.
“This has grown to become more of a regional event so we are going to have spinners coming in from South Africa and Zambia who are coming in ton showcase their skills alongside the best spinners in Zimbabwe.”
Some of the local spinners taking part include Ice Motors, EAM Ghost, Team Unique, Manyuchi, Saviour, Brandon, AK 47, Goofa and team Mahogany.
South Africa will be represented by Stacey The Queen of Smoke and Adam while Zambia is being represented by Jerico Moono.
Besides the burnouts, there are going to be exhibitions, car displays, bikers, live performances and fireworks.
There is just so much happening on the day for everyone to enjoy.
Selekta Base BlowOut Festival Artist Lineup
On the music side of things, fans are in for a treat with Master H and Tamy Moyo taking to the stage.
These two artists collaborated on one of the biggest tunes this year, “Kelly Kelvedhura” and many fans will be looking forward to seeing them perform it live.
There will also be top DJs on rotation with Rax, Rawse and Springer tasked with taking care of the decks.
Ticket Prices
Tickets will be sold at the gate with those coming through before 12.30pm paying $5 with the price jumping to $10 afterwards.
Kids under 12 are getting in free of charge.
This time around there is no corkage for cooler boxes so those who wish to bring their own drinks are free to do so.
