Rwanda Hosts ACCES
Rwanda is set to become the focal point of Africa’s music industry this November as it hosts the Music In Africa Conference for Collaborations, Exchange, and Showcases (ACCES).
The event, which runs from the 14th to 16th of November in Kigali, will gather music professionals, artists and industry stakeholders from across the continent and beyond.
This year marks the first time ACCES will be held in Rwanda, a development that signals a milestone for the country’s burgeoning creative economy.
The conference is organised by the Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF) in collaboration with the Rwanda Convention Bureau (RCB) and the Ministry of Youth and Arts (MINIYOUTH).

ACCES 2024 will offer participants a blend of business and creative experiences.
Over the three-day event, delegates will engage in various activities aimed at fostering connections and promoting the exchange of ideas.
One of the highlights of the event is a two-day conference and business exhibition, scheduled to take place on November 14 and 15 at the Kigali Convention Center.
The conference will feature industry experts, artists, and representatives from leading African and international music organisations.
It promises to be a key networking opportunity for those involved in the music industry.
Live Performances and Showcases

In addition to the conference, ACCES will also host a two-day showcase festival at Kigali’s Mundi Center.
Audiences will be treated to performances by over 20 top acts from across Africa.
Notable performers include South Africa’s Sir Trill and Heavy K, Kenyan rapper Octopizzo, and Zimbabwe’s Bantu Spaceship.
Rwanda’s vibrant hip-hop scene will also take centre stage with performances from local artists such as Bushali, Ish Kevin and Angell Mutoni.
The festival will celebrate the diversity of African music and offer a platform for both emerging and established artists to share their talents.
Building Skills and Honouring Legends
ACCES 2024 is not only about performances and networking. The event will also offer a series of workshops aimed at building capacity within the music industry, providing valuable training for aspiring and established professionals alike.
A special highlight of the event will be the Music In Africa Honorary Awards.
This year, a Rwandan music icon will be honoured for their contribution to the nation’s cultural heritage.
Previous recipients of the award include renowned African musicians such as Baaba Maal and Ebo Taylor.
