Rick Ross tickets reduced for students as Harare gig draws closer.

The Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) is the place to be this Friday with Rick Ross set to perform at the venue.

Roar Entertainment which is organising the show has gone to great lengths to ensure that they put together a memorable event.

However, ticket pricing has been one of the major talking points.

Rick Ross tickets reduced

When ordinary tickets were first announced for this show, they were on the US$50 mark.

The price was then lowered to US$35 after an outcry from the public.

Organisers have reduced the ticket price further for students who will have to fork out US$20 to get into the show.

This seems like a brilliant move considering hip hop has a younger fan base.

There are still some sections that feel the tickets are still expensive and it remains to be seen if the price continues to drop.

VIP and VVIP Tickets

This bit has been a bit confusing from the word go.

The VVIP section was subdivided into VVIP Premium, VVIP Gold and VVIP Silver tables. These tables were costing USD$5,000, US$4,000 and US$3,000 respectively.

The VVIP premium ticket is for 10 people and comes with 10 Belaire champagne bottles. This table also puts you up close with Rick Ross.

VIP tickets which are going for US$150 are still available while those who want to book tables in the section have to pay US$800.

Where to buy the tickets

Concert tickets are being sold at various outlets including Banc ABC Kiosks, Booties Pharmacies and on the Roar Entertainment website.

People are strongly encouraged to buy tickets from the authorized sellers tot avoid being scammed.

The supporting artistes

When the show was first announced, hip hop fans made a petition that Winky D and Jah Prayzah should not be included on the supporting lineup.

The organisers listened and picked some of the top artistes on the urban music scene at the moment.

Holy Ten, Takura and Nutty O made the cut and many would agree they deserve to be on that stage.

There are some fans who have highlighted that Voltz JT should also have been included on the lineup. The rapper has been in top form of late.

DJs King Her, Madeherbelieve and Rimo will also be entertaining the crowd on the day.

To complete the list, Nasty C, one of the biggest hip hop artists in South Africa was also roped in.
