Oliver Mtukudzi International Festival of the Arts Lineup
The lineup for the Oliver Mtukudzi International Festival of the Arts (OMIFA) has just been announced with numerous top artists set to light up the event.
The festival will take place at Pakare Paye Arts Centre in Norton from the 21st to the 22nd of September 2024.
Organized by Tuku Music (Pvt) Ltd, this will be a celebration of the late Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi’s artistic legacy, bringing together a diverse lineup of local and international artists.

This is set to be an electric affair considering the caliber of entertainers that have been roped in to perform.
The festival’s lineup features both seasoned and emerging talent, with the likes of Jah Prayzah, Feli Nandi, Mokoomba, Gemma Griffiths, Bryan K, Djembe Monks, Andy Muridzo, Mbeu and Nisha T to name a few taking to the stage.
American Jazz artist Aaron Myers has also been added to the list of performers.
Some of these artists have been in the game for a very long time and have mastered the art delivering exceptional live performances.
The upcoming talent will be presented with an opportunity to share the stage with their more experienced counterparts, something Mtukudzi would have loved to see. Tuku was well known for mentoring many upcoming musicians before his passing.
A Celebration of the Arts
OMIFA seeks to honor Mtukudzi’s legacy with the theme “DAIRAI, SABELANI, ANSWER!” which encourages communities to come together and collaboratively shape a better future.
In keeping with Mtukudzi’s commitment to nurturing all forms of artistic expression, the event has a program that goes beyond music.
The festival will feature a commemorative dinner and a series of performances and productions in music theatre, curated by SunTu Guild and Thomas Brickhill of Chikwata 263.
Fashion enthusiasts can look forward to a showcase curated by Skeyi & Strobo Fabrik Party.
There will also be elements of art, dance, and film being hosted by the First Floor Gallery Harare.
Spoken word poetry will take centre stage with a program led by Sibonokuhle Siwawa (Skai).
The festival also includes a dedicated children’s program curated by the Precious Children’s Arts Organisation (PICA).
On the educational front, there are a variety of workshops and masterclasses aimed at creatives included in the program.
