Ohana Festival 2023: Foo Fighters to close the fete

The Ohana Festival in Dana Point is set to close with a bang as the Foo Fighters take to the stage for their first Southern California performance with their new drummer.

The festival, which is scheduled to take place from September 29th to October 1st at Doheny State Beach, will also feature headlining performances from The Killers and Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder.

Other big-name artists on the bill include Haim, Father John Misty, the War on Drugs, the Chicks, Pretenders, and Japanese Breakfast.

The Foo Fighters’ most recent performance was at the Kia Forum in September 2022, where they paid tribute to their late drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away in March of that year at the age of 50.

The band will debut with their new drummer on May 24th in Guilford, N.H., and will also be performing at San Francisco’s Outside Lands festival on August 11th-13th.

Ohana, founded by Vedder, is now in its seventh year, with Pink, Stevie Nicks, and Vedder headlining last year’s festival.

The festival promises to deliver a jam-packed weekend of music, with over 35 performers across three stages during its three-day run.

Alongside headliners music fans can also look forward to catching some impressive performances from a wide range of other acts.

Among those already announced are Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Goose, The Backseat Lovers, Charley Crockett, Glen Hansard, Lucius, Thee Sacred Souls, Suki Waterhouse, Franc Moody, Hermanos Gutiérrez, Dehd, Shame, Dhani Harrison, Brooks Nielsen, Amos Lee, Lido Pimienta, Danielle Ponder, Trousdale, Talk, Wunderhorse, Big Joanie, The Aquadolls, The Alive, and Emma Routhier.

With such a diverse range of talent on offer, music lovers are in for a real treat at this year’s festival.

Tickets for the 2023 Ohana Festival go on sale on Thursday, April 13th. With such an impressive line-up, music fans are sure to snap them up quickly.
