New Partners

This beloved event, affectionately known as Bulawayo’s ‘civvies day’ is partnering with Greens Supermarket for an epic shutdown celebration.

Running under the theme Food is the Community, Munch & Sip is bringing together the best local flavors and drinks for a fun-filled day of community and good eats.

In an interview with The Chronicle Greens Supermarket official, Allen Phuthi said they are hoped to find new shoppers and show their range of products at the gig.

“After deliberation as Greens, we wanted to find a way to link the food with more things you can find at Greens thus Munch & Sip provided the perfect match. We also wanted to align the brand with the future and find new household shoppers,” said Phuthi.

About Munch & Sip

The Munch & Sip festival is a food and music event held in Bulawayo.

The Munch & Sip festival is a food and music event held in Bulawayo.

It was founded by Mandipa Masuku and has gained popularity in recent years, attracting over 3,000 attendees to its most recent event at the Matopos Sailing Club.

The festival started as a small, low-key gathering for friends of the organizers and food enthusiasts, but has since become the largest food festival in the southern part of the country.

Its success has led to a high demand for tickets and parking proved to be a problem last time around, with some attendees being forced to park their cars up to five kilometers from the venue.

According to the organisers, Munch & Sip is aimed at generating locally produced food through education and promotion.

Their mission is to support the growth and development of local farms and locally owned food related businesses.
