Tribal Fusion vocalist JustLeo is set to release her debut single “Kummawa”  featuring Djembe Monks.

This release is meant to showcase Zimbabwe’s cultural richness and the artist’s mission to bring African traditions to the global stage.

Born in Bulawayo and raised in Victoria Falls, JustLeo’s musical journey began in Sunday school, where she discovered her passion for storytelling through melody.

Over the past decade, she has refined her craft, performing soulful covers in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana, while working with various bands to develop her unique voice.

“Through my music, I want to celebrate the richness of African culture, especially the beauty of Zimbabwe,” said JustLeo.

What sets the singer apart is her multilingual artistry. Singing in Ndebele, Shona, Tonga and Chewa, she creates a pan-African sound that bridges linguistic and cultural divides.

Inspired by legends like Chiwoniso Maraire and Andy Brown, her music tackles profound themes such as abuse, depression, love and divorce, offering solace and resonance to listeners.

Her latest single “Kummawa” combines tribal beats with soulful melodies, a sound that will certainly captivate audiences.

The collaboration with Djembe Monks infuses the track with electrifying rhythms, enhancing JustLeo’s heartfelt delivery.

Victoria Falls, the town where JustLeo was raised, profoundly influences her artistic vision.

“I’m inspired by Zimbabwe’s beauty, its people and our shared stories. I want the world to see the magic of Victoria Falls through my music and visuals.”

She also credits contemporary artists like Feli Nandi for inspiring her to remain authentic.

“Her authenticity reminds me to stay true to myself as I share my voice with the world.”
