Gwyneth Paltrow trial continues

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is currently involved in a legal battle over a skiing collision that took place in Utah back in 2016.

Terry Sanderson, a retired optometrist, has accused Paltrow of skiing into him, causing him lasting injuries and brain damage.

The incident occurred when both were skiing on a beginner’s run at Deer Valley Resort.

Sanderson alleges that Paltrow was skiing out of control and crashed into him, knocking him down hard and causing serious injuries.

In contrast, Paltrow claims that Sanderson skied into her from uphill, causing a “full body blow.”

The legal battle between the two parties has been ongoing for seven years.

Initially, Sanderson had sued Paltrow for $3.1 million, but he later amended his complaint and is now seeking more than $300,000 in damages.

Paltrow, on the other hand, is seeking only $1 in damages, plus attorneys’ fees.

The trial resumed recently, and Paltrow was present in the Park City, Utah, courtroom, where opening statements began.

However, her attorney raised an objection to a still photographer in the courtroom and transmitting a photo of her.

The judge agreed that it was a violation of the court’s decorum order, and the camera was seized.

The judge warned that the reporter would be removed if such an incident happened again.

Currently, a physician for Sanderson is testifying about MRI imagining in the court. The trial is expected to last one week.
