Fastjet Unveils New Modern Uniforms
Fastjet Zimbabwe, the multi-award-winning airline, has revealed its latest uniform designs, signalling its readiness for the runway.
The new uniform, featuring a modern and sophisticated look that captures the airline’s brand identity, will be worn by both ground staff and aircrew across all its bases in Zimbabwe and South Africa from April 20, 2023.
The signature yellow and grey color scheme remains a vital element in the restyled uniform that blends traditional and contemporary fashion characteristics.
Female cabin crew will be sporting a yellow patent runway stripe on their new dress, while the iconic speedmark, a recognisable part of the airline’s livery, will feature in the scarves worn by female staff.
The male cabin crew will wear a modern-cut grey waistcoat with subtle yellow features.
The new male crew and ground staff uniforms will be a classic grey suit, distinguished with a bespoke tie that features the airline’s mascot.
Fastjet’s Chief Operating Officer, Donahue Cortes, commented on the new uniform, “Our new uniform has been designed to make our staff feel proud, comfortable and empowered, ensuring they stand out and excel in every environment.”
“In designing this new uniform, we focused on our corporate color palettes while introducing some of our most distinctive branding elements, such as the livery speedmark and our well-known mascot.”
Nunurai Ndawana, fastjet Zimbabwe spokesperson, emphasised the importance of the new uniform.
“A uniform is a key element of any brand identity and often creates the first impression. We welcome this uniform that embodies elegance and functionality while maintaining the stylish signature touch that fastjet uniforms are known for,” said Ndawana.
Fastjet has flown over 3.5 million passengers since beginning flight operations in 2012, connecting Zimbabwe’s five major cities and offering international flights to Johannesburg in South Africa, Maun in Botswana, and Mbombela (Kruger) Nelspruit Mpumalanga in South Africa.
The airline provides value-added products and services, including generous free baggage allowances, flexible change options, multiple payment channels, airport lounge access on select routes, and ancillary services like car hire.
