Call to Worship Global is set to commemorate its 15th year of spreading gospel joy with a concert in Harare on September 30th, 2023.

The event will feature a dynamic lineup of local and international gospel artists.

Established in 2008 as Call to Worship Zimbabwe, the organization initially launched as an annual inter-denominational gathering.

Its purpose: to amplify the gospel message through the power of praise and worship, while fostering unity among Christians nationwide.

Founder Pastor Philip Pike expressed that over the years, the yearly music and gospel festival has grown to become a symbol of unity and optimism in the Zimbabwean Christian community.

“The first 15 years have been a period of establishment, laying the foundation for what the next 15 years will require,” Pastor Pike stated.

Our vision is to empower worshippers and musicians, enabling them to spread the message of unity and love across the nation and beyond.

“We have lined up several gospel musicians including Michael Mahendere, Curt Hardy from South Africa, several teams from South Africa and Zambia, and the Call to Worship Choir, among others, to help us celebrate this important milestone.”

The event, themed ‘From Glory to Glory,’ is set to unfold at Harare Gardens and is projected to draw in over 5,000 attendees.

Last year’s festivities took place in Mabvuku, Harare.

Since its inception in 2008, the event has cultivated a spirit of harmony and worship, bridging denominational gaps and nurturing an environment of affectionate devotion.

Moreover, Call to Worship Global has provided an avenue for numerous musicians and groups to showcase their God-given talents, nurturing a crop of gifted artists who have subsequently flourished in the music industry.

To further its legacy, it is in the process of establishing a musical college and recording studio, aimed at cultivating and empowering aspiring musicians.

Pastor Pike added, “By providing comprehensive training and resources, we hope to foster a culture of excellence in worship music across Zimbabwe. We are looking forward to what God has instore for us for the next 15 years.”

In tandem with this year’s main event, Call to Worship Global has orchestrated a special session for the youth dubbed ‘Youth Power Praise,’ scheduled earlier in the day till late afternoon. – 263Culture/Herald
