Fat Joe returned to host the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, where the night belonged to Kendrick Lamar, Megan Thee Stallion and Drake, who dominated the nominations.

Kendrick Lamar, capping off a stellar year, led the pack with 11 nominations, ultimately winning eight awards, including Hip Hop Artist of the Year.

Future and Metro Boomin claimed Best Duo and Best Collaboration honors.

Notably, rising New York drill rappers 41, along with 21 Savage, each secured four nominations, while artists like A$AP Rocky, Common, Lil Wayne, Pete Rock, and Sexyy Red earned three nominations each.

The extensive nomination list also featured names such as Central Cee, Doja Cat, Kid Cudi, and Missy Elliot, highlighting the diversity and vibrancy of today’s hip hop landscape.

Performances and Special Awards

The evening’s performances left a lasting impact, particularly a millennial nostalgia-fueled set by Soulja Boy and Roscoe Dash, who performed their 2010 hit, All The Way Turnt Up.
