Margot Robbie‘s role in bringing the popular “Barbie” movie to theaters is earning her significant rewards.
The actress and producer, known for her successful summer film, is poised to earn around $50 million, including her salary and bonuses tied to the movie’s box office performance.
Director and co-writer of “Barbie,” Greta Gerwig, is also likely to receive bonuses due to the film’s remarkable success.
The movie has amassed an incredible $526.3 million in the United States and an additional $657.6 million internationally, resulting in a global total of $1.18 billion.
The film continues to dominate box office charts, securing its place as Warner Bros.’ second highest-grossing release, trailing only “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.”
It’s also now the highest-grossing film ever directed by a woman, surpassing the previous record set by “Frozen II,” co-directed by Jennifer Lee.
In addition to her on-screen success, Margot Robbie produced the movie through her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, which she co-founded in 2014 with her husband Tom Ackerley, along with friends Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr.
