Andrew Tate’s cars seized by Romanian police

Romanian authorities have seized a collection of cars belonging to Andrew Tate, a misogynistic social media influencer, and his brother Tristan, as part of a human trafficking investigation.

The car collection is estimated to be worth over five million euros and includes a Bugatti Chiron, a Rolls Royce, two Ferraris, and a Porsche.

The seizure comes after Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer, was arrested on December 29 along with his brother and two women on allegations of human trafficking and exploiting women to produce pornography.

The investigation is being led by Romania’s DIICOT agency, which is also looking into whether the Tates funded the purchase of their cars with proceeds from human trafficking.

Andrew Tate, who has previously appeared on the television show Big Brother, has a history of making controversial and inflammatory statements about women.

In one video, he claims that women should “shut the f*** up, have kids, sit at home, be quiet, and make coffee.”

In another video, he suggests that women who are raped are at least partially responsible for the assault.

The Centre for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) has identified 47 videos in which Tate promotes ‘extreme misogyny’.

In addition to the car seizures, Romanian authorities have also reportedly taken possession of a number of buildings, including one where the Tates allegedly held six young women.

Ramona Bolla, a spokesperson for the DIICOT agency, stated that four suspects, including Andrew Tate, will be held for 30 days as the investigation continues.

The suspects have the right to appeal the decision.

Tate, who has been banned from multiple social media platforms for violating rules, is known for his online persona as a “success coach” and has a significant following on social media.

He gained notoriety in 2016 when he was kicked off of Big Brother after a video emerged of him hitting a woman with a belt.

In the wake of the recent arrests, Tate’s Twitter account has been restored, along with those of former president Donald Trump and rapper Kanye West, after Elon Musk gained control of the social media site.

It remains to be seen what will come of the ongoing investigation into Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan.

However, the seizure of their car collection and other assets is a significant development in the case.

The case has drawn attention to the issue of human trafficking and the exploitation of women, and authorities are working to bring those responsible to justice.
