AKA Murder Case

KwaZulu-Natal police are still investigating the murder of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, and there are no updates as of yet.

The police spokesperson, Col Robert Netshiunda, responded to a recent report that three suspects were arrested for the rapper’s death, saying that there is no new information to share at this time.

AKA was shot and killed outside a popular restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road last month. The shooting also claimed the life of his friend, celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

However, police minister Bheki Cele recently stated that the investigation was making significant progress.

According to him, the police received an update from their KwaZulu-Natal team, stating that data from cellphones collected was being used to “patch and knit things together.”

Despite this, no breakthrough has been reported, and any updates on the case will be given by KZN SAPS, according to police minister Cele’s spokesperson Lirandzu Themba.

The shooting of AKA and Tibz sparked outrage among fans and the public, with many calling for justice to be served. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are working hard to bring those responsible to justice.

Meanwhile there were several reports indicating that police had arrested three suspects in connection to the murder.

Reports state that the investigations team had been tracking the alleged hitmen for weeks following the shooting that took place in Durban on February 10th.

It is alleged that the trio was apprehended in Belhar, Western Cape over the weekend.
