Who is up for a Drive In Cinema?
The outdoor cinema experience is something that has been around for a while now with several editions being held in various parts of the country.
This coming Friday, we are going to have yet another exciting outdoor concept with the Drive In Cinema making its debut in the capital.
The first edition is going to be free of charge but those who are interested have to call and book as the organizers want to control the numbers.
Sometime last year the creators of The CookOut highlighted that they had other interesting concepts that they would be introducing and it seems like they are keeping their word.
Just recently, they announced The CookOut Weekend to be held in Nyanga and now they have decided to give us the Drive In Cinema.
“This is a new company altogether which has myself and other partners associated with The CookOut that’s why we are saying from the makers of The CookOut,” said co-founder Prayersoul.
“We are launching on September 11 and the first edition is going to be free but will be strictly via booking so that we manage expectations and also to manage quality as we learn more on how best we can do it before we start selling tickets.
“When you call and don’t get a slot for the launch, you will be on the waiting list so that you are the first to get info on the next edition.”
The location has not been made public and will only be provided when you make your booking.
The tickets will be selling for US$15 per car when they do go on sale with attendees having the option to either watch the movie in their cars or bring chairs and watch while sitting outside.
“We are just charging per car whether you are coming on your own or you are coming as a couple. Some might want to bring chairs and sit outside while some will just be okay watching the movie in their cars.
“What I can tell you is that the setup is really dope. We have done trial event and everything worked perfectly.
“Another cool thing I should add is that the sound will actually be coming from your car. You connect to our sound and you will be able to get the sound from your car.”
